George Sodowick Obituary
Attorney in Roseland, active member of Temple B'nai Abraham
George Y. Sodowick, 78, passed away at home on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020.
Mr. Sodowick was an attorney with Brach Eichler in Roseland, N.J., for many years. He was also a longtime active member of Temple B'nai Abraham.
George was the beloved husband of Elizabeth for 52 years; loving father of Amy Kalikow (Jonathan) and David H. Sodowick (Lauren); devoted grandfather of Sydney, Samantha, Phoebe, Audrey, Drew, and Maya, and devoted brother to Stanley Sodowick.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020, at Temple B'nai Abraham, Livingston, N.J. Burial to follow in B'nai Abraham Memorial Park, Union, N.J.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Fragile X Foundation, 1861 International Dr., Suite 200, McLean, Va. 22102, or at www.FragileX.org.

So sad to learn of George's passing. One of the nicest gentleman I have ever known. We met in gym class in Columbia High School and remained friends all these years. My wife, Peggy, and I send our heartfelt condolences to Liz and her family.

I am most saddened to learn today of the passing of "Georgie" Sodowick.
George was a roll model for me on the streets of Weequahic in the 1950's. Where we neighborhood boys assembled almost daily at Bergen St, Vassar Ave.and VanVelsor Pl. for street sports !
My great thrill, being almost four year younger , was being picked early by George for his teams in one of many football, punchball, basketball and other pickup games we played.
George showed leadership, obvious class, a steadiness and humility (as well as athletic prowess) back then.
Our families both moved West but continued to share B'nai Abraham.
Our deepest condolences to his wife Liz and his children and grandchildren.
