Joseph Vetter Obituary

In Loving Memory of Officer Joseph Robert Vetter, Joe was born in Hollywood Florida on, September 7, 1971 and passed away February 1, 2016. He was a loving husband, father and son. He is survived by his wife Deborah, daughter Alyssa, and son Dylan, Parents Paul and Madeline, Brother John and family, and extended family in New Jersey and Georgia. Joe grew up in Miramar Florida, excelled in Judo as a member of the Miramar Judo Club and attended Miramar High School. In his youth, Joe enjoyed being in truck clubs and entering truck shows. He then began working in the community in the HVAC industry with his brother until he found his true calling to become a police officer. Joe graduated from the police academy and was hired by the Miramar Police Department in 1996 and earned the respect of his peers. For 20 years he served his community until his untimely passing. Joe was dearly loved by his law enforcement family, friends and will be sadly missed. During his leisure time, Joe would spend time with his family at his home in Loxahatchee, Florida. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, four wheeling, and traveling to Georgia to visit relatives, escape the city life and enjoy the country. He was always ready to just jump in his truck and tell everyone let's go at the spur of a moment. He loved attending his children's sporting events, cheering them on and being their biggest fan. Joe loved to have fun and had a zest for life. He was a big kid, who had a big contagious laugh. Whether he knew you or not, he was always there with a helping hand. Joe will remain forever in our hearts and be remembered for the good he has done. Although he was taken from us much too soon, his memory will live on in the lives that he touched. Rest in peace Joe. Funeral arrangements will be handled by Palm West Funeral Home, 110 Business Parkway, Royal Palm Beach, FL. 33411. Joe will be honored with a police officer's funeral. Such a presence and always a reason to smile! Our paths always seemed to cross at the right times and I am grateful that we always reconnected as the best of old friends. I can hear your voice clearly so I know you aren't far. I would love to tell your family some 10-94 stories one day. I hope they find peace in the memories of your love and life. RIP, brother.
