Army Tomaini Obituary

Army Amadeo Tomaini CRAWFORDVILLE - Army Amadeo Tomaini, 87, who retired as a school administrator for New York, died Wednesday, May 25, 2005, in Tallahassee. He is survived by his wife, Betty Tomaini. The service will be at 7 p.m. EDT today at Harvey-Young Funeral Home in Crawfordville (850-926-3333). Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. EDT until the service today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 241 John Knox Road, Suite 100, Tallahassee, FL 32303. He was born in Long Branch, N.J., and had been a resident of Crawfordville since 1992. He played with the NFL's New York Giants from 1945 to 1946. He was employed by Wakulla High School as an in-school-suspension teacher. Other survivors include five sons, Buddy Tomaini (and wife Janice) of Crawfordville, Freddy Tomaini of Asheville, N.C., Christopher Tomaini of Crawfordville, Steven Tomaini (and wife Dianne) of New York City and Santo Tomaini (and wife Lisa) of Naples; a daughter, Mitzi Proctor (and husband Bob) of Vermont; 12 grandchildren, Vonnie Gail, Cothee Ann, Valarie, Robbie, Amanda, Deni, Courtney, Sarah, Kristina, Drew, Lindsay and Paxton; and five great-grandchildren, Skylar, Claire, Grant, Haley and Emily.

I would like to say Mr. Tomaini was a wonderul Teacher. I know I spent many Months during my high school career in ISD with him. Best wishes to the family and I hope everyone just remembers how awesome of a person he was.
