Deb,
Dave was a beautiful, humble man,who showed us how to suffer in silence. He was such an example to us. Recently you said the word "Trust" to me,so i know you will be at peace. Thanks be to God that He chose to take his son to be with Him, and end his longtime sufferings. He is smiling down on you now.:)

To my sister and family,
There are no words to express my feelings for you all at this time. What a magnificent man David was. And an incredible love story that has been cut far too short.
Debbie, I will always remember the night you both met and he was trying so hard to interest you with his jokes and kidding and you thought he was an idiot! You wanted nothing to do with him. But through his persistence, look what happened! 43 loving years together! Time enough to raise a loving family and have sweet grandchildren, travel the world and share in the love and wonderment of each other and life. How precious is that.I
David's love of life, and laughter are what drew so many people to him. He has been loved by many and will be sorely missed.
David is now at peace and even though he seems far from you, know that he really is as close to you now as in life. His devotion and love to all of you was his greatest testament in this life.
I love you all deeply and in time hope that all of you will find peace.

David was simply a good person who loved his family and his country. By the way his definition of "family" was anyone he met. He often called me "brother" even though we were technically just friends. His heroic fight against his illness earned him more respect from me than all of the resumes found in Hollywood. I salute you my brother. Thank you for your years of service and for setting a shinning example for all of us to follow.

I am going to miss you my "brother from another mother" as a kindred spirit and comrade in arms. Who is going to make me laugh now? I may be trucking the same road soon enough so keep a cup of coffee ready for me when we meet again on the other side. Until then Rest in Peace, at least the pain is over.
