Norma Rouly Obituary
NEW IBERIA - Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Elias Rouly, Jr., the former Norma "Mama Lou" Romero, age 79, at 2:30 pm Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Fr. Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 am Saturday until service time with a Rosary at 1:00 pm.
A native of Youngsville and resident of Coteau, Mrs. Rouly passed away at 3:20 pm on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Dauterive Hospital.
Mrs. Rouly was a very kind and loving person who enjoyed crocheting and cooking for others. She was employed with A&P Grocery Stores for many years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by husband of 63 years, Elias Rouly, Jr. of Coteau; daughters, Anna Romero and her husband Daniel and Lori Johnson and her husband Jody all of Coteau; grandchildren, Jarret Romero; Mandy Hebert and husband Byron; Joey Johnson and Crystal Johnson; one brother, Dalton Romero of Youngsville and two sisters, Dorothy Romero of Coteau and Thelma Broussard of Maurice.
She was preceded in death by her father, Odressie Romero; mother, Edith Touchet Romero Racca, and one brother, Raymond Romero.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Romero, Jody Johnson, Joey Johnson, Allen Broussard, Byron Hebert and Chris Beasley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Romero, Jarret Romero and Dalton Romero.

Norma Romero Rouly was my First Cousin, daughter of my Aunt Edith Touchet, sister to my Father...Norma, (Boone, as she was known to many), was KIND, and YES, cooked often and often for others, which she enjoyed doing...May She Rest in PEACE at the Right Hand of God, and I write this while expressing my deepest sympathes and send my condolences to her Husband, Elias, (Junior), Rouly, and her daughter, Anna Faye Rouly and all of her Family and Friends...May God Bless ALL...Sidney Touchet...
