John A. Mangano Jr.

AGE: 59 • Mullica Twp.

John A. Mangano Jr., 59, of Mullica Twp. passed away Tuesday April 7, 2015 at home with his loving family by his side. Born and raised in Hammonton, he graduated from Hammonton High School class of 1974.

John went on to be a Relay Technician with the Atlantic Electric for more than 34 years, retiring in 2011. He was a bass player and singer in many bands, including Devils Crossing, Children of the Grave, Stillwater Sunrise, Finally, Dreamers, Point Blank, Bad Daddy, Eddie's Garage and Common Ground. John was a member of the Cumberland Gun Club, was an avid Target Shooter, and his passions were fishing on his boat the Jack of Diamonds, tying flies and making fishing lures.

Predeceased by his daughter Lisa Marie, father John A. Mangano Sr. and niece Denise Irrera. Surviving are his loving wife Susan (Owen) and two daughters Lindsey and Erin Mangano. His mother Dorothy (Butkowski) and brother Michael L. Mangano Sr. and his wife Joanne all of Hammonton. Nephews Michael Mangano Jr. and wife Kelly, Joseph Irrera, James Owen Jr. and wife Betsy, Brian Owen and wife Lisa, Richard Bullock and wife Erin. Nieces Deanna Mangano, Paula Popa and husband Dan. Sister in law and brother in law Judy and Joseph Irrera, brother in law and sister in Law James R. Owen Sr. and his wife Terry, and many beloved great nieces and nephews.

Services were held on April 11 at the Marinella Funeral Home, Hammonton. Burial was in Union Cemetery, Mays Landing. Memorial donations may be made to Cape Atlantic Cats, 959 Asbury Ave., Ocean City, NJ 08226.
