Hello,
Since my university years, I've been trying to find Professor Goerke, without success, until today.
I'm sad to find that she is recently deceased and I can't give my greetings to her in person.
I do want to tell her family that she was one of my Sociology professors at Acadia University in Nova Scotia, Canada during the late '60's.
Professor Margaret looked like one of us students, with her long blonde hair and shy smile. Her classes were engaging and thought-provoking.
I chose Sociology as my major quite by chance and if I could speak with her today, I would tell her she changed my perspective on the world; she influenced the person I became. I'm quite sure she'd be pleased that I became a teacher [retired].
Thank you, Professor Margaret...may you rest in peace.

I was a classmate of Margaret's. We may have been classmates from K thru 12th grade. I remember her as a quiet, intelligent, sweet person with a warm personality. I did not see her after we graduated from high school and I often wondered where she was and what she was doing. I now know she was in Idaho a couple hundred miles from where I have lived in Washington St.Rest in Peace Margaret. Gary Rittenmeyer, Chelan, Wa.
