Gary L Goerke passed away on May 21st at Angel's Grace Hospice at the age of 77. Gary was born in Waukesha to Calvin and Helen Goerke, he was a graduate of Waukesha High School class of 1967. He joined the USAF in 1969 and was stationed at the air force bases in Grand Forks and Minot North Dakota, and Naha and Kadena in Okinawa. He worked for his father and Uncle Doug in their painting business and his cousin Les at his service station, he also worked in the auto service dept. at Kmart before joining the City of Waukesha Municipal Garage in 1981. He retired in 2011 from the city after 30 years. Gary very much enjoyed his monthly breakfast get together with the other retirees from work. Gary will be greatly missed by Marie, his wife of 44 years, Ronald his son and his sister Dianne. He also leaves behind in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many friends. Gary will be laid to rest at a graveside service on Monday July 21st at 2 pm at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha.

I did not know Gary but he was a fellow city employee. I pray that Gary is in Christs presence and reunited with past family, friends and city employees that have passed. God bless you Gary and give you the peace which only comes from knowing Jesus Christ.
