Staci Gray, age 56, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on January 19, 2026.

Staci was born in Des Moines, IA on May 26, 1969. She graduated from Saydel High School and later studied at the University of Iowa for her bachelor and professional degrees. She found her calling as a physician assistant and dedicated her career to caring for children for over 30 years. Staci also spent the majority of her time as the world’s best mother at every school function, extracurricular activity, PTA/booster club meeting, and graduation.

While her time was much shorter than anyone would have liked, Staci lived an incredibly full life. Some of her favorite memories included marrying the love of her life, Schadd; visiting Australia with her mother while pregnant with her daughter, Emily; finally seeing the Northern Lights with her son, Andrew (in Iceland with the best view); and witnessing the birth of her grandson, Lincoln.

Staci will always be remembered for being generous, supportive, strong, and kind. She will be missed by many.

She is survived by her loving husband, Schadd Gray; children Emily Gray, Elyssa Lewis (Mark), and Andrew Gray; her grandson, Lincoln; her mother Sandra (Harry) Jeffries; and her sister Sheri (Wally) Reher. She is preceded in death by her father, William Woodring.

A celebration of life will take place at the Scottish Rite in downtown Omaha, NE on January 25, 2026 at 1:00 PM. Please wear purple in her honor.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Successful Futures at BoysTown or Youth Emergency Services Omaha.
