LAKELAND - Pat Paul, President of Hal Paul Enterprizes, Inc., succumbed to a serious illness known as Myasthenia Gravis and pneumonia at LRMC on Sun., April 25, 2010. She was 66. She fought valiantly as she did from the time of her birth to being adopted by loving and supportive parents in her native New York and Long Island town. She attended St. William The Abbot Catholic School in Seaford Long Island and graduated from Seaford High School in 1962. She met and fell in love with the love of her life, Hal Paul, and the couple married in July 1972. Her challenges continued with helping Hal raise his 2 children, Sharon (Shari) Rivas, Lakeland, and Lawrence (Larry) Paul, Lakeland. The couple moved to Florida in 1973 when Hal accepted a position at one of Lakeland's radio stations. Pat began work at Rita Personnel and remained for 14 years. There she excelled while building respect in community affairs in American Business Women's Association, assuming presidency in 2 chapters. She served on the Imperial Polk Ad Board. When Pat joined Hal in building his company, she immediately undertook the task of networking with suppliers and clients. Many of her clients became advocates and close personal friends.
Pat is survived by her husband of nearly 38 years, daughter Shari Cohen Rivas, son, Larry Paul, grandchildren Mark Bush, Candice Snyder, Ashley, Allyson and Tim-othy Paul, aunts, Irene Farmer and Johanna Famera, cousins Paul and Wendy Hetrick.
Visitation will be at Heath Funeral Home on Thurs. from 6-8 PM and services on Fri at noon at St. John Neumann Roman Catholic Church on Car-ter Road. Interment to be at Oak Hill Cemetery with a reception to follow at the church.
