FORT MEADE - Mrs. Claudia Johnson Jackson, 70, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Bartow Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Jackson was born April 18, 1946 in Muncie, IN, and after moving to Fort Meade at a young age, she remained a lifelong resident and worked as an insurance agent for McBride Insurance of Fort Meade for over 30 years. Mrs. Jackson was a very faithful member of the Fort Meade First Assembly of God where she shared her voice talent and enjoyed singing during many worship services. She was also a former Sunday School teacher, and a member of Fort Meade High School graduating class of 1964.
Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her parents, Beldon and Yvonne Johnson, and her loving husband Tullie Ray Jackson, Sr.
She is survived by her son, Tullie Ray Jackson, Jr. and wife Gail, Fort Meade, FL; daughter, Patricia Jackson, Fort Meade, FL; brothers, David Johnson, Lakeland, FL and Lamont Johnson, Alva, FL; three grandchildren, Brandi Rae Richerson and husband Jeremy, Justin Ray Hendricks and wife Sierra, and Travis Ray Jackson; one great-grandchild, Jesse Richerson.
Visitation will be held 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 East Broadway, Fort Meade, FL. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Chuck Pemberton officiating.
Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Fort Meade.
