Olive Louise Barb Gardiner, age 92, born October 1, 1928 to Russell and Olive (Bonner) Barb, in Norfolk, Virginia, died Thursday, February 4, 2021. Graduated from Linden McKinley High School in 1946. Attended Shenandoah Conservatory of Music, majoring in piano. Received a Master of Strategy degree from the Kansas City Osteopathic Student Wives Association. Preceded in death by husband of 63 years Dr. John B Gardiner, D.O., sister Patti (Dan) Miles, Dublin, Ohio. Survived by children, Martha McGlone, Marengo, Ohio, John B. Gardiner, Jr., Albany, Ohio, Susan Sexton, Hilliard, Ohio; 6 grandchildren, Sara (Chris) Bowsher, Gahanna, Ohio, Michelle Warthman, Marengo, Ohio, John B. Gardiner, III, Hillsboro, Ohio, Jason Conrad (Candace) Gardiner, Albany, Ohio, Sasha Sexton, Marengo, Ohio and Sean Sexton, Waldo, Ohio; and 7 great-grandchildren. Louise was a member of the following organizations: Auxiliary to the American Osteopathic Association, Auxiliary to the Ohio Osteopathic Assoc. Auxiliary to the 6th District Academy of Osteopathy. Volunteer and all Guilds of Doctor's Hospital; National Needlecraft Guild, Embroidery Guild of America; American Needlepoint Guild. Founded Louise's Needlework in Somerset, Ohio, 1984 and in Dublin, Ohio 1987; Lacers of Columbus Ohio; Knit Wits, founding member formed from church circle at North Broadway Methodist Church, 1960; Heart of Ohio Tole Painting; Central Ohio China Painting Club, Lancaster, Ohio; Mansfield China Painting Club; International Porcelain Art and Teachers; World of China Painters Club; P.E.O. Chapter D.E., 32 yrs Columbus, Ohio; P.E.O. Chapter FF, Mt. Vernon, Ohio; Member of North Broadway United Methodist Church and Northwest United Methodist Church. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to: Chapter FF, P.E.O. Sisterhood-Continuing Education, Martha McGlone, 7221 #B State Route 229, Marengo, Ohio 43334. Memorial to be planned in the spring.
