Carol & family:
It was with great sadness to hear of Wally's passing. I have known him for many years having purchased one of their homes in Northfield many years ago. He was a wonderful and thoughtful man. He will be missed by so many. My sympathy goes out to his family during this difficult time.

I had the greatest respect for Wally Aseltine. He was a very fair man. When other farmers would gouge me on the price of 'ok' hay and delivery charges because they knew I didn't have many options at the time, Wally would charge only the fair price for the very best quality. If I said I wanted horse hay, every blade of every bale was top quality horse hay through and through. Beyond that, he always had a pleasant or encouraging word. And he was the sort to get to the bottom of things and know what he was talking about before making judgments. Carol, Joselyn and Jessica, I am deeply sorry for your loss.

Carol and Family,
Saddens me to hear about Wally's passing. It was always great seeing Wally no matter where he was or what he was doing he always had a big smile on his face. He would come in the office with his big happy smile and give me my hug. He will be missed by all that knew him. He was a wonderful man and it was a great pleasure knowing him.

Wally and my parents (Dick & Peg Greenslit) were friends since they were all in highschool together -- and it was wonderful of Wally to come to my Dad's funeral services just a couple of weeks ago. Little did we know that he would be joining Dad again so quickly ... my heartfelt thoughts to those he leaves behind. He will be remembered often, and with great joy.

Carol & Girls: My thoughts are with you. I met Wally years ago when a friend bought a horse from him. I rode on the 100 mile Vermont ride with a group including Brenda & Morris and Hariet Gallagher. He was a great man whom I have always remembered and it just so happened I was looking at old photo albums the other day of one of those rides.
