Evelyn "Gayle" Aseltine

Evelyn "Gayle" Aseltine, 87, of Umatilla, Florida, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan to the late Carl and Beulah Brumbaugh, she moved to Umatilla in 2022 from Phoenix, Arizona. She was an Administrative Assistant at the University of Michigan and was a member of Milan Baptist Church in Milan, Michigan. Gayle was known for her strength, faith, and selfless giving. She is survived by her son Jim (Jayne) of Howell, MI, her 3 daughters, Sheryl Busch of Fairfield, CA, Terri Aseltine of Bakersfield, CA, Amy Aseltine of Umatilla, FL; her 3 sisters, Arlene (Ed) Ayers of Whitmore Lake, MI, Janelle (Bob) Collins of Howell, MI, Becky (Jack) Thompson of Greenville, SC, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Gayle was also predeceased by her husband, David Aseltine; her son, John David Aseltine; her daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki (Mark) Venable, Susan (Ronald) Osmaloski, and Katherine Hyatt; her brother, Raymond Brumbaugh and her sister, Nancy Hanlon and 3 grandchildren. Services will be held at Milan Baptist Church in Milan, MI on Saturday, August 19th, with family visitation at 12:00 p.m., a memorial service at 1:00 pm, and refreshments to follow.
