Harden-Pauli Funeral HomeIt is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Douglas Rehman, Sr., at the age of 63, on Friday, October 3, 2025, in Reedy, West Virginia. Doug was born in Heidelberg, Germany, and spent a significant part of his life in Eustis, Florida, before relocating to Reedy, West Virginia, in 2020. Throughout his distinguished law enforcement career, he pioneered online child exploitation investigations, making history as the first officer in the United States to pose as an adolescent to combat cybercrimes against children during the early days of the internet. Doug was an active member of the American Radio Relay League (A.R.R.L) and the Local Amateur Radio Association (L.A.R.A.), where he shared his passion for communication and technology. Doug is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Jody Swartz Rehman; son, Donald Douglas Rehman, Jr.; daughter, Ashley (Jonathan) Carey; sister, Linda Lasher; and three cherished grandchildren, Emma, James, and Bennett Carey. A graveside service will be held in his honor at Greenwood Cemetery in Eustis, Florida, on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to a local hospice foundation of your choice. The family welcomes all who knew and loved Donald to join in celebrating his life and legacy. Arrangements are being handled by Harden/Pauli Funeral Home in Eustis, Florida.
