Susan Son Obituary
Born July 6, 1964 in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of Eugene and Susan (Herman) Menchi, of Avoca and paternal grandmother, Madeline Menchi, of West Pittston. She was a graduate of Pittston Area High School, Class of 1982.
Susan was licensed in cosmetology. She was recently employed at her husband’s medical practice in Hazleton.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Daniel Son; brothers, Anthony Menchi, of Avoca, and Eugene Menchi, of Moscow, Pa.; daughter, Alicia and her husband, Jeff Roback, of Middletown; sister, Karen and her husband, Joseph Lombardo, of Avoca; sons, Dan Son, of Pittston, Michael Son, of Delaware Water Gap, Pa., and Patrick Son, of Lancaster. She is also survived by her “loving children,” Abby, Tara and Scooby.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Graziano Funeral Home Inc., 700 Township Blvd., Pittston Township, with a religious service by Ann Marie Acacio, Minister Emeritus of the Unity Church, Wilkes-Barre. Viewing hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Lackawanna County, 967 Griffith Pond Road, Clarks Summit, PA 18411, or the Unity Church, Grant Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.

Dear Dr Son: I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Ann Marie Acacio and I spoke regarding the service she will be giving in memory of Susan. I feel that I have met Susan along the way since I was active in Unity. I have also known Joyce over the years. I hope you find comfort in knowing you are in my thoughts and prayers.
