Norma Faye Allen Adair, 88, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 13, 2019, at the First United Methodist Church of Wichita Falls. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Norma Faye Allen Adair was born November 1, 1930, in Elmer, Oklahoma, to Ophia Orena McMennamy Allen and Otis Dee Allen. She attended school at Elmer and graduated valedictorian from Southside, which was a consolidated school between Elmer and Hess. She attended First Methodist Church in Elmer and at age 12, was baptized in the Red River between Elmer and Vernon, Texas. Norma moved to Wichita Falls, Texas, at the age of 16 where she attended a business college. She worked as a secretary for an architect, then later for an oil company in Wichita Falls. Norma married Joe N. Adair Jr. of Wichita Falls at the First Methodist Church in Altus, Oklahoma, on September 3, 1950. Norma has attended Floral Heights Methodist Church, Highland Heights Christian Church, and First United Methodist Church in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Norma had a compassionate heart as demonstrated by her involvement with community outreach and helping people in need. She did volunteer work with the Cerebral Palsy clinic (which later became North Texas Rehabilitation Center); Camp Fire Girls Inc.; Wichita Falls Museum & Art Center; and Wichita Adult Literacy Council. Norma also served as the president of the W.F. Big Band Dance Club and as the president of North Centex Girl Scouts for several terms. She was an active member of the Intentional Caring Unit of First United Methodist Church; a hospice volunteer; and was a frequent blood donor.

Norma was a devoted spouse, working side-by-side with her husband at Joe Adair Electric Co. from 1968 to 1990. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed reading, music, and travel. She is survived by her children: Roger and wife Christina; Sherri and her husband Victor Hammack; Sandra and her husband Evert Davis; and Cynthia and her husband Bruce Lyons, along with ten Grandchildren and fourteen Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Grandchild. Anyone who knew Norma would agree that she was truly a good person and will be missed.
