JENKINS Kathyrn Sory Jenkins (Kitty), 69, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on October 30th, 2016 at the Life Care Center of Jacksonville due to complications from COPD. Kitty was born on December 27th, 1946 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she graduated from Fort Lauderdale High School in 1964, she then married the love of her life, Gran Parker Jenkins on August 14th, 1965. Kitty was a lifetime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), and member of Arlington Congregational Church. Kitty loved to fish and shrimp in the St. Johns River, was an avid football fan, and one of her favorite hobbies was making hand-stamped note cards. She also enjoyed working in the local cruise terminals preparing travelers for their voyage to the Caribbean. Kitty is predeceased by her husband, Gran, who died on April 19th, 2004. She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Ransom, and her husband Tom, her son David Jenkins, and his wife Juli, her grandchildren ENS Nick Ransom, USN (23), Eric Ransom (20), Collin Jenkins (16), and Garrett Jenkins (14). Services are to be held at Arlington Congregational Church on November 28th, 2016 at 11 AM.
