Margaret Roemer Obituary
Margaret "Peggy" Roemer, formerly of Ottawa Hills, a resident of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, passed forward from this earth surrounded by her loving family.
"Peggy" was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wellington F."Dud" Roemer; her beloved son, Donald Scott Roemer, and her brother, Robert Neenan. She is survived by siblings, Jack (Alice) Neenan, of Toledo, and Mary Dee Bigi of Florida; her 7 children, Wellington F. "Tod" (Joan) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Linda L. (Gary) Mortemore of Darby, MT, W. Thomas "Tom" (Vickie) of LaSalle, MI, Susan S. (Gordon) Hufford of Toledo, J. Robert "Bob" of Columbus, OH, Meredith "Muffy" (Lou) Delone of Houston, TX, and Kenneth C. "K.C." (Eszti) of Mendham, NJ; 25 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and infinite friends.
Peggy was born in Bellevue, Pennsylvania, to John J. and Mary Neenan. As a young adult, she was a dance instructor and proprietor along with her sister, Mary Dee, of the Peggy Neenan Dance Studio in Pittsburgh, PA. She was a professional singer and sang with the Brad Hunt Orchestra and also sang live spots on KDKA radio.
In the 18 years since Dud's passing, Peggy continued to be an active, positive, and ever-loving mother, grandmother, sister, and much adored friend. Peggy had an even greater inner beauty that enriched the lives of all who ever knew her. Steeped in her Irish Catholic roots, Peggy's daily prayers transformed everyone she touched. Those that knew her will strive to honor her memory by seeking to live their lives as Peggy lived hers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to St. Vincent's Mercy Medical Foundation/Palliative Care & Neuro ICU or the donor's choice.
There will be no visitation - A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at ll a.m. Monday, July 25th, at Gesu Catholic Church. A private burial will follow. Friends are invited to join the family at Peggy's home at l p.m.
