Adrienne Gail Stegena Age 70, of Pittsburgh, on Friday, October 8, 2021. Beloved wife of Albert Stegena, daughter of the late Edward and Eleanor Hayes; loving mother of Philip (Jamie) Mercurio, Lawrence(Dawn) Mercurio, Erin (Steve Lippert) Hoelzle, Kimberly(Jason) Brand; stepmother of Jay(Winifred) Stegena, Vanessa(Richard) Milleman, Jennifer(Stephen) Vinay; sister of the late Edward and Sharon Hayes; grandmother of Philip Mercurio, Daniel Giancola, Lawrence, Taylor(Timothy), Alexis(Daniel) Mercurio, Jazmine, Shaun, Saedi, Asa, Trevor Hoelzle, Maylee Brand, Josh(Kristina), Jake(Jodie), Joley, Jaicey(William) Stegena, Brina Milleman, Leah and Luke Vinay; great grandmother of Chase, Willow, Tycen, Gage, Maverick, Na'karie, Natalia, Nalaya, Brennan ; aunt to Craig and Ryan Herbster, James, Dolores, Kathy, Victor, Mark, Walter, Dawn, and Sherri Dougherty, Kris Hayes, and Heather Sponauge. Her main pride in life was her very large family. She found the most joy in being a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her life was faced with it's early challenges, yet with unwavering faith and an ability to overcome those hardships through her sobriety journey, which began almost forty years ago, she was able to be a guiding light to those faced with similar struggles. Through unconditional love, empathy, understanding, and sound advice coming from the heart, she guided many to the saving grace of Jesus. Those who know her well knew that as the glue holding two large families together, on any given day you could find "Memaw" with open arms, making memories with at least one, yet usually many of her children, step-children, grandchildren, and any one of their friends who immediately felt the warm welcome of a caring heart that made everybody feel just as loved as one of her own. Not only did she strive to be an example of Jesus' love to her family and friends, she also found pride and comfort in being a servant along side of her church community at The Log Church in Pittsburgh's Banksville section. She always said that this life was temporary, and wanted us to know that she will forever be in our hearts as we navigate this earthly life, until we join her again in the presence of the Lord in eternal paradise. Friends welcome 1-8pm TUESDAY, WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Rd, Scott Twp 15220. Funeral Service 11:00 WEDNESDAY at The Log Church, Banksville. So very sorry to these two families for their losses. Adrienne and Al were wonderful people whose time was much too short. They remain in our thoughts and prayers.
