NEW BRITAIN ANNA LOBESKI On Saturday, August 13, 2005, Anna Kierys Lobeski, 90, died at the Bojnowski Manor in New Britain. Born in Chicopee, MA on January 16, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Wojciech & Katarzyna Lapa Kierys. She lived in Chicopee for nine years before moving to Poland, from where she returned to the United States in 1965 living in New York briefly, and then settling to New Britain. Prior to her retirement in 1980, she was employed with Atlantic Tool of Newington for 15 years. Additionally, she was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the PNA Club in New Britain. Mrs. Lobeski was predeceased by her husband Stanislaw Lobeski in 1988. She is survived by her beloved children, Krystyna Sejdor of Poland, Jozef Lobeski of New Britain, Elzbieta 'Wanda' Oberc of Marion, and Danuta Adamczuk of New Britain, a brother Piotr Kierys of Poland, 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 17, at 8:30 AM from Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St. New Britain, with a 9:30 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church. Rites of Committal will follow the Mass at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday, from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at funeral home.
