Anne H. Ledebur

Anne Ledebur January 26, 1936 May 10, 2018 Anne Hamrock Ledebur died on May 10th at her home in Palm Desert, CA. She was born on January 26, 1936 in Youngstown, OH, the daughter of Stephen Hamrock and Mary Kacenga Hamrock. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Harry Calhoon Ledebur. She is survived by her three sons, Harry C. Ledebur, Jr. (Anne), of Kalamazoo, MI, Craig A. Ledebur of Merced, CA, and Robert L. Ledebur (Keely) of Palm Desert, CA; two grandchildren, Cal and Wyatt Ledebur; her brother Bernard (Rosemary) Hamrock of Blacklick, OH and eighteen nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters Emily "Millie" Rose Swierz and Genevieve "Jennie" Jason; and her brothers Stephen Hamrock and Thomas Hamrock. She is also survived by her cousin Agatha (Frank) Fabiny. Anne and Harry raised their family in Canfield, OH where she worked as a real estate agent for 35 years. They enjoyed their family home on Tippecanoe Rd, which was a gathering spot for family and friends, and annual vacations, especially to Sanibel Island, Florida. Anne stayed active, loved to entertain and enjoyed visiting with family and friends. She was an avid swimmer most of her life. She also took pleasure in gardening and was a wonderful cook, well known for her banana chocolate chip cookies. She was a devoted member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in La Quinta, CA, and the church's Women's Guild. Her family was her delight; she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Anne was outgoing, personable and social, and always happy to hear news from her large family who affectionately called her "Hunch." She will be remembered for her selflessness and missed for her generous heart. A Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 16th at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in La Quinta, CA with a visitation at 9am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
