Anthony P. Ghergurovich of Stoneham passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was 54 years of age. Born on June 16, 1965, Anthony was the loving son of Yolanda (Vukosa) Ghergurovich and the late Giuseppe Ghergurovich. Anthony was the beloved husband of Kristen (Armstrong) Ghergurovich. He was the devoted and cherished father of Anthony Jr., Robert, Joseph and Julia. He was the dear brother of John Ghergurovich and Frank Ghergurovich. Anthony is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews. He was a giving and generous friend to many. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. Anthony grew up in East Boston. He attended East Boston Central Catholic Elementary School and graduated from Dom Savio Prep School with the class of 1983. In 1987, Anthony graduated from Villanova University. After graduating college, he started his own business, Anthony's Hardwood Floors which he owned and operated successfully for over 30 years. In 2001, he married Kristen (Armstrong) Ghergurovich. They welcomed triplet sons Anthony Jr., Robert and Joseph in 2003 and were blessed again with the birth of their daughter Julia in 2008. Anthony was a devoted father who loved watching his kids play hockey and going on vacations to Disney. Anthony loved to cook almost as much as he loved to eat. He was known for his famous chicken soup that he enjoyed giving to friends and family in enormous quantities, even in August. He enjoyed having parties at his oversized pool and always made sure there was at least 10 times the amount of food that anyone could possibly eat. Anyone who had ever met Anthony knew that he was one in a million, but unfortunately it was a rare one in a million disease that was his cause of death. He went to the hospital on August 30 and was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called Goodpasture syndrome. Unfortunately he never left the hospital. Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Friday, November 15th at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Anthony's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the family for his wake on Thursday, November 14th from 3:30 – 7:30pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations in Anthony's memory to Hopeful Journeys Educational Center, Inc. 28 Tozer Rd. Beverly, MA 01915. I want to extend my condolences to the Ghergurovich family. Anthony and I were friends during my time in Boston from 1989 until 1995. I was so sorry to hear of his passing. Simply put, he had one of the biggest hearts I have ever encountered. I wish you all strength during this difficult time.

Dear Kristen and Family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathies to your whole family on Anthony's passing. I remember Anthony as an extremely generous, gregarious person who could give advice on almost anything (and as Kristen would say, he was usually right). A fine, dedicated man who gave so much to others and touched so many lives. May the warmth of Anthony's remarkable legacy be a comfort to you all.

Please accept our deepest and most sincere sympathies to you and the boys. Anthony was a great person and Dad. I admired how humble he was and his approach to live, sports, and family. We've had many conversations about hockey at the rinks, watching our boys play over the years. He always would give me great advise on how to handle my diabetes issues. ARNF the summer night at the Ghergo's swimming in the pool and our times together while on our boys played together on the Northshore Shamrocks Hockey Team. Hugs and kisses to the family. Please let us know if you need anything. Gold Bless.

I just heard this morning of Anthony's passing. My deepest sympathy to his wife and children. For years when my boys were young Anthony would listen to my hockey stories and for the past few years he would tell my boys and me the stories of his Son's.
We will miss him greatly

So devastating to hear of Anthony's passing. I grew up with Anthony in East Boston. We reconnected later in life when he did my hardwood floors. He was always the nicest guy. I am not sure I can recall a time when he wasn't laughing. My condolences to his family and friends, I am sure he will be missed.
