James Richmond, man defined by loyalty, humor, and the deepest devotion to those he loved, passed away with the same quiet strength he carried throughout his life. Family was the center of his world, and his heart belonged fully to Jennifer — his dream girl, his partner, and the one he never stopped chasing. Loving her, supporting her, and building a life with her was his greatest pride.
James leaves behind his beloved wife Jennifer (Cain) Richmond. He is the devoted father of Christopher Richmond and his wife Nicole, Rachael and her husband Derek Pagliuca, Jeremy Richmond and his girlfriend Jami. Loving grandfather of Harlynn and Carter Pagliuca. Dear brother of Tammy Richmond and her children Aiden and Cassidy. Step brother of Robert Trotto, Robin Trotto and the late Scott Trotto. Half brother of Steven Veach, Jaqueline Kent, Jeannie Powers, Jennifer Cessford and Ann Smith. Nephew of Robert Richmond. He leaves behind a large and loving family, including cousins, in-laws, nieces, and nephews on both the Cain and Richmond sides, as well as many friends.
He lived life with a blend of sarcasm, wit, and an unmistakable sense of humor that made even the toughest days lighter. A true sports enthusiast, he watched every game with passion and conviction, and Tom Brady held a sacred, almost legendary place in his heart.
He found joy in simple, meaningful things — the calm of being outdoors, the peace of fishing, and the excitement of being on the water. Boats, beaches, and summers in Maine were some of his happiest places. He loved sitting for hours with his binoculars, watching the coastline or rewatching Jaws with the same fascination every time. His hobbies were as unique and heartfelt as he was; he adored his pet mice, cared for his fish, and always found comfort in tending to the little worlds he created for them.
One of the proudest moments of his life was fulfilling his dream of owning a red Corvette — a symbol of hard work, perseverance, and finally giving himself something he had long earned. Golfing, being outside, and chasing small adventures filled his days with meaning.
Above all, he was a man shaped by work. Hard work defined every part of who he was. He worked right up until the end, not because he had to, but because dedication, responsibility, and providing for his family were core to his identity. It was the way he showed love.
He leaves behind a legacy of strength, humor, grit, and devotion — a life lived with purpose, a heart lived in love, and memories that will be treasured forever.
Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with his family on Tuesday November 18th, 2025 in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM from 11 am to 1 pm followed by a Funeral Service Celebrating James' Eternal Life at 1.
