Marketta Lou Richmond, 85 of Beckley, went to be with the Lord on Nov, 6th 2025. She was born in Beckley, WV on January 19th, 1940 to William and Lilly Cook.
Marketta was most known as a devoted wife of nearly 50 years and "momaw" as she was always there for her grandchildren and had a special relationship with her great grandchild Caleb. She loved spending time with family, watching football, drawing, painting, traveling and being outdoors. She really enjoyed planting flowers with her daughter, Virginia.
In her final years, she would sit on her deck for hours feeding the birds and squirrels while reminiscing with family. She found so much joy in the little things in life. Although she is no longer with us, her love and the sound of her laughter are in our hearts forever.
Marketta was preceded in death by her mother, Lilly Virginia Cook, father, William Cook, brothers Larry, Dee and Glen Cook, son, Jack Bond Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory are her amazing husband Joe Richmond, daughter Virginia Morris, step children Tammy, Karen, Kevin, daughter in law Freida Bond, son in laws Chris Delli- Gatti, Derek Cross and Chris Mato, grandchildren Shannon Cipoletti and husband Doug, Adam Bond and wife Jamie, Tiffiny Delli-Gatti Grose and husband Devin, Zackary Morris, Brent Morris and fiancee, Madison Patton, Lejane Eagle and husband Brian. Great grandchildren Caleb Grose, Siddie, Opal and Charlie Cipoletti, Greer and Jack Bond "lll", Garrison and Carolina Eagle, Maddison Mato. Sister in law Rachel Cook, nephews Scottie, Brian and William Cook "lll", niece Tabatha Lilly and her son Logan Cook.
No formal services are planned but a celebration of Marketta's beautiful life will take place at a later time with family and close friends.
