Donna Krofssik

CHESHIRE – Donna Krofssik died peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 85 on July 14, 2016. Donna Krofssik was born in Bridgeport on August 23, 1930 and grew up in Fairfield where she taught in Fairfield County for decades. Donna attended and earned her teaching degree at New Haven Teachers College in New Haven. She raised four boys, Jon (Prospect, CT), Paul (Florida), David (Kansas) and Sam (New York). She was predeceased by her husband Paul Sr. and grandson Matthew. Besides her children she leaves behind a brother Albert Driver (New Jersey) and daughters-in-law Marilyn and Phinphana. Jon and his wife Marilyn were Donna's advocates in the final decade-plus of her life. She lived in Prospect, Waterbury and Cheshire in her final years. Donna also leaves behind nine grandchildren including Jon Jr., Sean, Dana, Fasai, Ted, Mike, Matt, Katie and Annie. The family wants to thank the staff at the Cheshire Regional Rehab Center's fourth floor for such loving care. A graveside memorial service will be held at the Prospect cemetery on Saturday, July 23 at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America. The Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect, CT has been chosen to handle Donna's arrangements.
