WATERBURY- It is with profound sadness that the family of Gary “Quib” E. Krofssik Jr., age 51, of Waterbury, share the news of his unexpected passing at home on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. He was the husband of Nicole (Streich) Krofssik.
Gary was born on March 25, 1973, in Bridgeport, CT, the son of Gary Krofssik Sr. and the late Jacqueline (Biggins) Krofssik. He graduated from Kaynor Technical High School, and then went onto work as a plumber at Mechanical Plumbing and Heating for 13 years. Gary was known to many by his nickname “Quib” that he was given from his best friends the “Core 4” Jamie, Joey, and Robbie. He was an avid fisherman, and sports fan who was always cheering on the New York Jets, and enjoyed working on cars. What meant most to Gary was spending time with his family, especially his four nephews who knew him as Uncle B. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Left to honor and cherish his memory besides his loving wife, Nicole; is his father Gary Krofssik Sr. and his wife Pauline, his siblings; Rebecca (Kevin) Caffrey, Jamie (Jennifer) Krofssik, and his beloved nephews; Patrick, Connor, Gavin, and Sean. He also leaves his mother-in-law, Donna Barriault and sister-in-law, Sabrina Streich, along with his special friends, his dogs; Spencer and Rocket.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay respects and visit Gary’s family on Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main Street, Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of his family.
