I am heartbroken to hear of Earls passing. I am so sorry that I am just finding out about this. Earl and I played on the Hiram Scott College basketball team together back in the 60s and we had great times. Earl had an infectious smile and a great sense of humor. In a sense, he was like a big brother to me while we were in Scottsbluff. I will always remember Earl. My deepest sympathies to the entire Williams family. Garry Bonnemere

Sad to hear about Earls passing, I enjoyed competing against him. Earl was always a gentleman on and off the court. He was a member of a great CD team!

My heartfelt condolences go to Ethlyn and the family in memory of Earl Williams. Earl was a guiding light in helping me learn about my biological father whom I never met. as they were best buddies and one of two African Americans on the Cardinal Dougherty All Catholic Basketball Team in the early to mid 1960s. In addition, Earl was one of the coordinators in helping me meet the original basketball team players that became priests later in life and we all were able to raise the spirit of my birth father at a celebratory luncheon at Alberto's in Newtown Square, Pa several years ago. Both Earl and Ethlyn stayed in touch with me and we attended several other events together and they additionally helped me celebrate my 40th birthday in 2008. At age 51 today, my heart is heavy to know that Earl is no longer with us. I cannot thank him enough for being that kindred spirit, guiding light and providing the missing link and puzzle pieces in learning about my birth father. His spirit and legacy will live on inside all of our hearts forever. Peace, Love & Blessings, Deidra L. McGee

I could not have been more blessed then to enter the Camden School District when I did and have Mr. E. Williams as my department head. He was my friend, my brother and my mentor from whom I learned much. Earl was one of the kindest men you could meet, he spoke from his heart and he spoke the truth even if it stung a bit but always done out of love. I will always cherish and appreciate the time I had with him, he will be missed dearly and love always.

It was a privilege to care for such a kind gentleman. Even when he was not feeling well, Earl always pushed himself to remain independent. He showed true determination to live each day full and present. He had an amazing spirit and true strength. I always enjoyed our time together. He could tell a great story and include a life lesson free of charge. I want to express my deepest sympathy to his family. He was a special man that touched my life in a positive way. Rest in peace Earl- you will be missed.
