Frank will always be remembered as the best quarterback at SRHS. I was a freshman in the band when he was a senior and we enjoyed every game. Jackie lived across the street from us, and my late brother John Walker actually recalled Jackie's exact house number. In fact, Crabiel is handling John's funeral next week. Seems that the SRHS athletes have a way of keeping their camaraderie flying high. John was on the SRHS basketball team. My condolences to the Riepl family. Frank and Jackie will always have a special spot in my heart. Cherish the memories. May the Lord Jesus Christ draw you close to Him and save many in your beautiful family.

My deepest condolences to the Riepl family. I was one of Francis's classmates at SRHS and remember him as an outstanding athlete and student. If life is just a dream Francis was indeed blessed with a beautiful one. Noteworthy was his wonderful marriage to Jackie for over six decades with children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. What more can anyone ask. This was a wonderful life. May you rest in peace. You will be missed by all of your classmates that are left.

Sympathies to the Riepl Family.
Frank was a man of strong character, high academic achievement, superior family values, and dedicated Christian philosophy. FRANK and I were classmates at Penn, competitors in high school football, and varsity footballers at Penn.(I attended Trenton Catholic Boys' High School). We are both Wharton grads and both attended Penn from 1954-58. One other thing, we both rode the Pennsylvania Railroad trains almost every week-end during the academic year from Philly to Trenton and New Brunswick.
We lived at two different locations at Penn, Frank, the 'Quad' and me at Newman Hall, so we did not spend time getting to know each other...Frank was quiet and me, not so much. I respected Frank a great deal from a distance. He was much more intelligent as a student at Wharton and very dedicated and committed to his soon to be bride back in Jersey.
My view of Frank's life is from 100,000 feet, but I can say with great confidence that Frank has a very high place in heaven.
Respectfully and with great sympathy....Vince Kelty Wh '58. Colonel, USAF, Ret.

The Riepl family--My condolences for your loss. Of course, Frank will live in the hearts of all who knew him. But he will also remain in the memory of a fifteen-year old boy from upstate Pennsylvania. who can still see in his mind's eye Frank's 108-yard kickoff return against Notre Dame in 1955. God bless you all. John Strick

Our deepest condolences to your family. Frank was a good friend and neighbor to everyone here in Walkers Glen. His big smile, and sweet tooth, were as legendary here as his famous football return. May the angels smile over you both, Frank and Jackie, as you share eternal life together. Joe and Martha Teixeira

My condolences to Frank's family. He was my boss's boss when I worked for PSE&G. When he found out I was from South River, and that I played football there, we became friends. He told me stories - the one about the kick return at Penn (which I had never heard before) and about being a letter carrier for the post office (maybe a summer job?). He said on hot summer days, he would spend his lunch break swimming at Bissett's pond. He was a great guy to know - respected by all of us who worked with and for him. Years later I met him again at a South River baseball game that he came to watch. He was enjoying the game, and he told me how good his team was when he played. May he Rest In Peace.
