I met Len in 1972 when I joined Holt, and still remember her smile of welcome. She helped me feel at ease and imparted the sense of family that was characteristic of Holt staff at the time. Len took her job seriously and was deeply loyal, but she knew how to have fun and was a pleasure to work with. Her levity and kindness were never in short supply.

Len and I shared the same birthday, April 5, and exchanged birthday cards on our day for 43 years. I'll miss that. Besides having someone special to share a birthday with, it was a way of keeping in touch over the years.

Len was a loving mother and a loving friend who upheld the importance of family and of friendship and honored both beautifully. Dean and our children, Lydia and Chris, join me in sending our condolences.
