Lewis P. Packhem

Packhem, Lewis P., 84, the owner and operator of the former C.L. Packhem Co. passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Elmhurst Extended Care Center in Elmhurst, IL. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth A. (McHale) Packhem and a son of the late Clarence L. and Gertrude (Hollywood) Packhem. Lewis was the loving father of Timothy D. Packhem, Andrew J. Packhem and his wife, Barbara, and Thomas Packhem; devoted grandfather of Jessica, Joseph, Hannah, Dylan and Jameson; devoted great grandfather of TJ. He was the grandfather of the late Timothy J. Packhem and brother of the late Richard Packhem. Mr. Packhem was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was a 1956 graduate of URI Business School with honors. His funeral will be held Friday at 9 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane. Burial with military honors will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 pm.
