Louis Burnthorne passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, in Covington, Louisiana, at the age of 86. He was born on Saturday, February 23, 1935 in Osceola, Louisiana to the late Mary Ann Burnthorne and the late Luke Burnthorne. He was a resident of Loranger, Louisiana. Louis served honorably in the United States Army for four years. His favorite pastime was studying genealogy. Louis is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty Kirschenheuter Burnthorne, nephew, David Burnthorne and family, numerous other nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Luke Burnthorne; mother, Mary Ann Burnthorne; siblings, Gladys, Wilmer, Pete, Mearl, Albert, Alice, Jay (J.D.) and Luke Burnthorne, Jr. The family would like to extend a special thanks to St. Tammany Hospital Hospice for providing care and comfort to Louis in his final days.
