Dr. Lauver's gentle spirit, sense of humor, and compassion made such an impact on me when he was my instructor. I enjoyed his stories told with his trademark twinkle in his eyes.

Phil was my advisor, supporter, and life change agent for me. He was gentle, kind, and almost gleeful when he saw a light go on in someone. I will always be grateful to have had his support, feedback, and training. I will remember him with a smile. And, a heavy heart. My good fortune to have known him. I'm sure everyone who knew him, feels the same.

This is very sad news. As a student I appreciated his calm and accepting manner. It was a pleasure to have a course with him. I am saddened to see him leave us.
