Sister Brown & Family,
Just a few words to let you know that I wanted so much to be there with you all, but because health reasons I am unable to travel. Therefore I had a few talks with someone that promised us he would never leave us, and I know the Lord has been with you all the way, He's yet there when everybody else has gone their different ways; remember he is a friend that stays closer than a brother. Rev. Brown is not a falling leader, but one that has been promoted. “” And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.” (Re 14:13) WE WILL SEE HIM AGAIN.

To Mrs. Brown and The Brown Family,
Words can't adequately express the level of influence Pastor Brown had on my life. He was the encourager of encouragers. I was able to reach new heights in musical proficiency because of the opportunities he afforded me and the mistakes he tolerated as I was very early in my development. He invested time and effort in me because he saw something very early that I didn't see in myself. Pastor and Mrs. Brown were always kind to my mother and recognized her for contributions to the music community in West Alabama. Sometimes he gave fatherly advice and at other times simply a word of encouragement. I can only say that he will be missed. Although I was not in Tuscaloosa on a regular basis, whenever I returned I knew that I was always welcome. Every single time I saw him he told me how proud he was of me and to "keep on doin' whatcha doin, it’s working for you." I will definitely miss that. I feel so blessed to have known Pastor Brown and the entire Brown Family. Let's make sure we keep his legacy alive by living our lives in way that honors God and honors Pastor Brown for his teaching. I love each of you and pray for you continually.

Mrs. Brown, I am so sorry for your lose, I talked to you on several occasions at DCH. My wife was in ICU from an auto accident. Your faith and strength was such an inspiration to me during my time there. I just wanted to let you know that his (God's) strength is sufficient and will carry you through. Sincerely, Barry
