Allen Buckbee Obituary

Buckbee, Allen Weir "Al" Age 93 Of White Bear Lake Died on January 15, 2008. Cause of death was colon cancer. Allen is survived by wife, Janette; sons, Allen, Jr., Charles, and Paul; step-sons, Mark DeCoster and Jeffrey DeCoster; step-daughters, Wynne Koecher, Freida Marzolf, and Julie DeCoster. Allen is survived by 2 grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. Allen was preceded in death by daughter, Barbara Meade and wife, Irene. Allen grew up in White Bear Lake, attending White Bear High School and graduating from University High. Allen served in WWII as an X-ray technician stationed in England and Texas. After the war, Allen went to work for Buckbee-Mears. Allen married Irene in 1946 and they raised the children in White Bear Lake, in the same house he grew up in. Allen left Buckbee-Mears and went to work for Olsen Graphics until he retired at age 62. His enduring lesson to all was to be nice and enjoy life. Memorial service Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at ST JOHN IN THE WILDERNESS EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 2175 1ST Street, White Bear Lake. Family will receive friends following the service at church.
