Brad PALECEK Obituary

Age 49, of Minneapolis passed away on November 7th, 2017 after a short but courageous battle with bile duct cancer. Brad is survived by his partner & soul mate, Michael Korby, and Violet (their French Bulldog), his adoring parents, Thomas & Sandra, of Woodbury and loving brother, Marc, of Woodbury. He will be missed by a large, close group of adoring friends. Brad graduated from Stillwater High School in 1986 and from the University of St. Thomas in 1991, where he remained an avid supporter. He had a very successful career in Real Estate with Edina Realty for the past 25 years. Brad loved to travel abroad, which he and Michael did frequently. He was an avid art collector and supporter of the arts community. He served on the University of St. Thomas College of Arts & Sciences Advisory Board as well as the Board of the 1006 Summit Avenue Society. Brad was a supporter of the U of M Goldstein Museum of Design, Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Ordway Center for the Arts, and Friends of the Mississippi River. Our lives will forever be changed for having known him, loved him, and now losing him. Brad was extremely generous, kindhearted and a loyal friend to many. Brad was a bright light to all who had the pleasure to meet and love him. He was a beautiful soul placed here to spread joy, humor and grace. A Memorial for family and friends will be held on Sunday, Nov 19th at 3:00pm @ St. Clements Church, 901 Portland Avenue, St. Paul. Followed by a Celebration of Life from 4-6 @ The University Club of St. Paul, 420 Summit Ave. Donations may be made in Brad's name to one of the organizations he supported above.
