Bradley "Brad" S. Margolis, 56, of Clinton, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 6, 2014, in Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY, following a long illness. Brad was born on June 13, 1957, in New Hartford, the son of Arthur G. Margolis and the late Beverly Sherman Margolis. He was a graduate of New Hartford High School, Hartwick College, class of '79 with his BA, and New England School of Law, class of 82 with his JD. Brad was admitted to the NYS Bar in 1982. He has been a lifelong resident of this area. He established his firm, Brad S. Margolis, Esq., Attorney at Law, Utica, and has been an upstanding member of his community for many years. Brad was a member of Temple Emanu-El, Utica. He was a member of the American Bar Association, NYS Bar Association, National Child Support Enforcement Association and National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. Brad is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Hastwell, of Boonville; his father, Dr. Arthur G. Margolis, of Sarasota, FL; and his sister, Barbara Margolis and her spouse, Colleen Gregory, PhD, of Wakefield, RI. His funeral will be held 1:30 p.m., Sunday (today), March 9, 2014, from Temple Emanu-El, 2710 Genesee Street, Utica. Interment will be made in Temple Beth El Cemetery, Wood Road, Whitesboro, where he will be laid to rest with his mother. Shiva will be observed by the family in Sarasota, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations, in Brad's memory, be offered to the National Kidney Foundation of Central New York, 731 James St., Ste. 200, Syracuse, NY 13203-2040. It has been 8 MONTHS TODAY, since My Pouchy Bear passed into his Eternal Glory. May he continue to REST in Heavenly PEACE.

Today, September 6th, marks 6 months since BRAD, my Pouchy Bear, succumbed to a highly aggressive lymphoma, at Albany Medical Center Hospital. I never left his side, & he drew his last breath with me, his Mouchy Bear --caressing him, reassuring him, praying for him, never letting go of his hand. It seems almost Surrealistic what tragically transpired merely half a year ago.
Realizing how MUCH my Brad, LOVED his Mother, I KNOW deep within My Soul, that he exists in Sweet Communion eternally together WITH her.....
I miss YOU, Pouchy. Always.

Brad was a gentle kind hearted person. He cared deeply for his clients and tried to give them a better way of life. I'm so blessed have Brad in my heart forever. I loved him very much. Thanks Brad for loving me as I loved you.

MY DEAREST, BELOVED POUCHY BEAR, PASSED UNTO THE NEXT SPIRITUAL REALM OF EXISTENCE, EXACTLY ONE MONTH AGO TODAY, AT 3:22PM.
AT THE PRECISE MOMENT OF HIS PHYSICAL DEATH, I NOTICED THAT HIS MOST BEAUTIFUL FACE, REFLECTIVE OF GOD'S HOLY GRACE -- WAS FINALLY AT PEACE..... MY BRAD NO LONGER WOULD EXPERIENCE ANY OF OUR MEAGER TRIALS, CONCERNS, NOR TRIBULATIONS....
AS I GAVE HIS LOVELY MOUTH ONE FINAL KISS, I NOTED A FAINT SMILE ETCHED FOREVER ON HIS LIPS, & I KNEW THAT HE WAS FINALLY IN HEAVENLY PEACE....WITHOUT THE FURTHER EARTHLY AFFLICTIONS OF FEAR, NOR PAIN.....HE HAD DISCOVERED WHAT WE ALL HOPE & LONG FOR.....OUR ETERNAL HOME.
MY PROFOUND GRIEF WILL CONTINUE, AS HE NO LONGER EXISTS ON THIS PLANE OF EXISTENCE.....I CANNOT HEAR HIS MAJESTIC, BARATONE VOICE, NOR TOUCH HIS SKIN.....HOWEVER, I SPEAK TO HIM, ALWAYS, WITHIN MY SOUL.....& I SENSE THAT HE KNOWS THAT MY LOVE FOR HIM IS EVERMORE....

I just learned of Brad's passing today. He was a client of our firm and I was truly shocked to receive this news. Brad was a pleasure to deal with- a really good lawyer, good soul, funny, and a gentlemen. He will be missed, Our condolences go out to his family and dear friends.

I was fortunate to know Brad and have him as my mentor since I began my legal practice in 2002. I am an infinitely better lawyer because of Brad's guidance and advice over the years. I will miss him deeply. He was funny, kinda, and just a good all around person. He will be in my thoughts forever and I pray for him and offer my deepest condolences to his family.

I FIND MYSELF ALMOST RELIVING WHAT TRANSPIRED EXACTLY ONE WEEK PRIOR.....
I WANT ALL WHO KNEW MY BRAD TO REVEL AT HIS PHENOMENAL COURAGE......AND TO TRULY APPRECIATE THE INCREDIBLE SENSITIVITY THAT HE HID BENEATH THE OUTSIDE VENEAR OF WHAT HE LIKED TO TERM, HIS 'ROUGH EDGES'.
ONLY GOD KNOWS WHY THOSE THAT ARE SO NEEDED & LOVED, ARE TAKEN FROM US....
