David J. Servatius

David J. Servatius, 74, of Frankfort, passed away on January 23, 2026, after a long illness.
David was born on December 12, 1951, in San Antonio, Texas, the son of John and Daisy (Clark) Servatius. He received his education at St. Joseph St. Patrick Elementary, UFA, and MVCC.
At the age of 18, Dave won the lottery when he was drafted into the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Karlsruhe, Germany. Over the years, he worked at Revere, Tri-State, ARC, Pepsi, and served in the U.S. Army Reserves. Of all his roles, the one he treasured most was being a stay at home dad.
Dave loved hunting, fishing, sports, music, art, nature, and his family.
On March 3, 1979, David married Gail Loomis. They shared 46 wonderful years together like two peas in a pod.
He is survived by his wife, Gail; his children, Erin (Michael) Kaszycki, Matthew (Brittany O'Connor) Servatius, Joseph Servatius, and Nicholas Servatius; his beloved grandchildren, Olivia (Dom Garverick), Reece and Nolan Servatius, and Lily and Paul Kaszycki; his siblings, John (Patricia) Servatius, Fran (Ron) Archibald, Catherine Scalise, Christine Hall, Peter Servatius, and Daniel (Patricia) Servatius; his in-laws, Betty Servatius, Flora Loomis, Marilyn (Randy Leizer) Loomis, and Betty and John Hendricks.
David was predeceased by his siblings, Michael and Maria Servatius.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm at Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 1123 Court St, Utica NY. A Mass will be held at St. Joseph St. Patrick's church on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 11:00am. Interment will be at the convenience of family.
