Lenore Warden Obituary

Gilmer, Texas - Graveside services for Dr. Lenore Sponsler Warden, 87, of Gilmer, Texas will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Mont Meta Memorial Park. The service is under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Dr. Warden passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016 in Gilmer.

Dr. Warden was born on November 25, 1929 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Amick Charles Sponsler and Marie Stanton Sponsler. She was a family medicine physician for 30 years, a member of First Baptist Church in Gilmer, and was married to Dr. Don Page Warden.

Dr. Warden is survived by her husband, Dr. Don Warden of Gilmer; son, David Warden and wife, Magda of Weslaco, Texas and Hank Warden and wife, Johnna of Kaufman, Texas; daughters, Shawn Warden and Shay Warden, both of Gilmer; daughter-in-law, Charlie Warden of Gilmer; sister, Nancy Byram of Colorado; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son; Dr. Rusty Warden and brother, Stanton Sponsler.

In In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Food Pantry at First Baptist Church in Gilmer 304 Buffalo St, Gilmer, TX 75644.
