Thomas Walsh Obituary
Died on March 30, 2005, at Potomac Valley Nursing and Wellness Center in Rockville, MD.
He was born on May 30, 1935 in Washington, DC to the late J. Herbert and Lillian N. (nee Barry) Walsh.
Mr. Walsh graduated from Gonzaga High School where he won The National Voice of Democracy contest. He attended Georgetown and graduated from St. Mary's Seminary in Baltimore. Mr. Walsh then went to the North American College and Gregorian Institute in Rome, Italy. After Rome, he worked at various jobs before starting at the Food and Drug Administration in 1961 where he served as an Administrative Officer.
he is survived by his wife of 36 years, Eleanor "Ellie" Walsh of Gainesville, VA; one sister, Gina Mitchell; three nieces, Kathleen Murphy, Suzanne Fajer and Michelle Jackson; two nephews, Scott Mitchell and Marty Mitchell; one brother-in-law, Frank Storaci and his wife Dorothy; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at LEE FUNERAL HOME OF MANASSAS, 8521 Sudley Rd., Manassas, VA, on Friday, April 1, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Lee Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 2, 2005 at 1 p.m., with Father Francis Petty officiating. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, VA.
A memorial contribution may be made in the form of a donation to Sisters of St. Benedict, 50352 Antioch Rd., Tickfaw, LA 70466; or Holy Trinity Catholic Church Building Fund, 13260 McCartney Ct., Bristow, VA 20136.
