JoAN BOSIN  
On August 9, 2021 we said good bye to our cherished wife, mother and grandmother JoAn Windley Bosin, who lived for 78 love-filled years. After receiving the diagnosis of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis over four years ago, she faced this great obstacle with her usual optimism and gave it all she had for the projected time she would have left on this earth. When her body finally gave in, it freed her strength of spirit that we all knew and loved, exploding intol the universe with such force that there was a fierce storm that raged in the sky on the day she died.  She was our eternal beacon of optimism shining her light upon the world. Everyone she came into contact with knows that her light will shine through all of our hearts and eyes and will be, as she would say, "paid forward" through our father, her children, her many close friends, our children, and theirs, and theirs, and so on.  JoAn enjoyed a 15 year career as a special education teacher in Fairfax County, Virginia schools. She maintained a loving, open home where all friends were always welcome. Her Thanksgiving dinners and Christmas breakfasts were memorable feasts. She was also an avid traveler and an expert rock and roll dancer.  JoAn is survived by her husband Morris ("Butch"), daughters Lara Buettner (Rick), Kayla Speigel (Jay), Kevin Bosin and his wife Suzanne; and eight grandchildren - Nathan, Calvin, Grace, Zoe, Ailysa, Imelia, Annie and Edward.  Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
