Dear Gladys, Harriet, Alan, and family, Know that many feel your loss and wish strength during these hard times. I Just watched Rebecca's story on Ireland and really enjoyed seeing what she wanted to show the world. She inspired me as a kid down the block on 76th Road to pursue a career as a reporter and enjoyed working at WABC starting my career. Her kindness, love, and attention to detail will always be with us to carry onto others. Rest in peace neighbor and thanks for helping to make this world a much better place. -Stew

While it has been many years since I last saw Rebecca, she was a funny and brilliant person. My first meeting of Rebecca was in high school back in NY. Many days of fun and laughter with Rebecca during those days brings a smile to my face. While this is a loss to our world for such a wonderful person, her memory will live on forever and will continue to bring sunshine to us all. My deepest sympathy to her family.

Rebecca will certianly be remembered for the light and enthusiasm she spread, wherever she went. She was adventurous, fearless, funny, kind and generous.
She leaves a legacy of the trememdous work she did, the people she touched and mentored, and the many, many people who loved her.
She will be missed.

To Gladys, Harriet and all of Rebecca's family, I knew Rebecca in London and attended many of her legendary Bonfire Night parties. I thought of her as a good friend. I was immensely proud to know her, she was so accomplished, so knowledgeable, so humourous. Her loss, huge to us who knew her lately, must be incalculable to you. I send my sincere sympathies, my thoughts and my prayers. Rebecca will always be remembered in London.

To Rebecca's family,
I am heartbroken to hear the news of Rebecca's passing. I will remember her best as I knew her in New York, before she moved to London. She was funny, smart, loved life and took advantage of every adventure that came her way. I recently reconnected with her, and am deeply saddened by this turn of events. My condolences to you all.

I always called you "the smartest woman I know," but you were also the funniest, the most vibrant and one of best reasons I knew for living on West 87th Street. The world and my heart will be a sadder and dimmer place without you, I will miss you forever and think of you always...

To Gladys, Harriet, Alan and families,
I was hoping to be in NY tomorrow for the funeral, but will not be able to. My thoughts and wishes are with you. I am sorry I did not know your sister as an adult, everything I have read here on-line is remarkable, and her loss must feel monumental to all.
Love you all,
Deb Olshever and Mark and Elana too
