Edward J. Banta, 62, a firefighter, of Las Vegas, died Feb. 3, 2005. He is survived by his wife, Christine; daughters, Patricia Hyman of Edgewater, Fla. and Barbara Scimanico; and son, Edward, both of Paterson, N.J. Service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
