Luis Avila, 95, of Yuma, died Dec. 8, 2009, at Life Care Center of Yuma. He was born Aug. 19, 1914, in Mexico, and was a retired Customs agent. No services are planned. Burial will be in Jardines del Esperanza in Mexicali, Baja Calif. Desert Valley Mortuary is handling local arrangements.
