Mable Lee (1921–2019), tap-dancing "Queen of the Soundies"
Mable Lee was the "Queen of the Soundies," a dancer and singer who delighted 1940s audiences in more than 100 musical short films that were designed to be played on jukeboxes in nightclubs and restaurants. Lee's "million dollar legs" made her a tap-dancing star, and her success outlived that of the soundies. She traveled with the first all-Black USO troupe during World War II, and after the war, she had a decades-long career in Broadway. She was inducted into the Tap Dance Hall of Fame in 2008, and she continued to dance until the last years of her life.

Bushwick Bill (1966–2019), rapper with the Geto Boys
Bushwick Bill was a member of the iconic Houston based rap trio the Geto Boys. Real name Richard Shaw, he was born in Kingston, Jamaica with dwarfism. He first joined the Geto Boys as a dancer and then became a rapper alongside Willie D and Scarface. The trio were pioneers of southern hip-hop and horrorcore. Bushwick Bill was featured on the Geto Boy’s hit songs, “Mind Playing Tricks on Me” and “Damn It Feels Good to Be a Gangsta.” He also released multiple solo albums.

Paula Kelly was an actress, dancer, and singer known for movies including Sweet Charity, Soylent Green, and Uptown Saturday Night. On Broadway, she debuted in 1964 in Something More! and appeared in other shows including The Dozens, Ovids Metamorphoses, and Sophisticated Ladies. In addition to appearing in Bob Fosses movie adaptation of Sweet Charity, she starred in the show on the London stage, where she won the London Variety Award for Best Supporting Actress. Tao Porchon-Lynch was certified by Guinness World Records as the world’s oldest yoga teacher. 101 years old at her death — and still teaching until days before she died — Porchon-Lynch earned the title in 2012, when she was 93. Porchon-Lynch was also a competitive ballroom dancer who appeared on “America’s Got Talent” in 2015. In her younger years, she was a model and actress whose films included “Show Boat” (1951) and “The Last Time I Saw Paris” (1954).
