Peter Vaughan (1923 - 2016), Game of Thrones actor
Peter Vaughan, an English character actor who played Maester Aemon on the HBO series "Game of Thrones," died Dec. 6, 2016, in West Sussex, England. He was 93. Vaughan played the "Game of Thrones" character from 2011 to 2015. He also played Grouty in three episodes the British sitcom "Porridge" as well as in the movie version. His credits also include the part of Tom Franklin on the British series "Chancer."
