Albert Chavez Obituary
Albert "Dad" Chavez Sr., age 85, born on September 24, 1929 in Albuquerque, NM and passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015 in Albuquerque. Albert honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for the U.S. Postal service and retired as the last Special Delivery Carrier at the main Post Office. Albert loved all sports, enjoyed horse racing, gambling, cruising and lived life to the fullest his way.
He was preceded in death by his mother Concepcion Satarin and his father Antonio Jose Chavez; son, Albert Chavez Jr.; as well as several brother and sisters.
Albert is survived by his daughters, Patsy Kay Garcia and husband Alfonso, Dinah Esquivel and husband Ray; grandchildren, Jeanelle Parker and husband Aaron, Albert Chavez III, Alfonso Garcia Jr. and wife Rochel, Tony Alarcon and Armando Alarcon; three great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews other family members and friends who loved and will miss him.
A Memorial Service will be held at Calvary of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna Rd. NE on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 11:00am. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Calvary of Albuquerque.
