DiBernardo, Andrew A., Col. USAF (Ret.)

Col. Andrew A. DiBernardo, USAF (Ret.), age 91, loving, tough, fair, sometimes cantankerous, "good time Charlie" (according to Mother!), and beloved father passed away on May 12, 2015. Andy was known for his love of life and was often the "life of the party." He was an avid golfer until 85 years of age, and shot his age and walked the course.

He is survived by his loving children, Andrea ("Andie") DiBernardo Summers and husband Doug; son, Leon ("Lee") A. DiBernardo and wife Lisa; grandchildren, Laura DiBernardo Reddeg, and Adam DiBernardo; great-grand-

children, Mea Laurel, Shane and Mason. Andie and Lee would like to thank the genuine kindness, and excellent loving care Andy received from the staff of Bee Hive Memory Care (Bldg. C) and Gentiva Hospice. You will be sorely missed, Dad.

A private family viewing was held Friday, May 15, 2015 at FRENCH - Wyoming. Interment will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Thursday, May 21, 2015 where Andy will be reunited forever with the love of his life of 67 years, Lee. Please visit our online guestbook for Andrew at

dear leon & andie, you most likely do not remember me, but my aunt & uncle use to live next door to your parents. their names were Florence & Harold bitter. I am their niece Julie, (I use to babysit for you both). I was very sad to recently find out that your father passed away in may. your parents were warm,& friendly, just the greatest. I was also friendly with your cousin Shirley, who lived in Oakland California. I do not have a computer. At present, I am using our daughters. although many, many, years have passed, I would love to hear from you. My husband & I live in Lancaster, PA, here is our phone number, 717 391 2727. Andy D. WAS A FASCINATING PERSON. HE LOVED THE 106TH; HE WAS A CONSCIENTIOUS COMMANDER OF THE SUPPLY SQ. AND EQUALLY IMPORTANT THE PEOPLE WHO WORKED FOR HIM ADMIRED AND LOVED HIM. ANY SOCIAL FUNCTION WHEREIN THE 106TH WAS INVOLVED HE AND HIS WIFE LEE WERE THERE. THE OLD GUARD BALL WAS AN ANNUAL EVENT IN HIS LIFE. HE WAS FUN. GOD BLESS HIS SOUL. BILL MCFADDEN
