Beverly Payne Obituary
Beverly Jean Payne, beloved daughter, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother passed peacefully on December 26, 2015, from congestive heart failure.
Beverly was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa on February 24, 1944 to Raymond and Ellen Johnson. Beverly was one of five children. She graduated in Albuquerque, NM from Highland High School and retired from Rio Grande High School after 35 years as a cook and Assistant Manger of the high school kitchen.
Beverly is survived by and was married to RJ Payne on August 15, 1964 for 52 years. She loved God, cheering her grandchildren in motocross and race cars, roller scaring, bowling and cooking. Beverly leaves behind daughters Stacy Meek and spouse Thomas Phillips, Patricia Payne and spouse Julian Ambrose; granddaughter Julia Frese and husband Cody Frese; grandsons Deral Meek Jr. and wife Shannon Meek, Kenneth Payne, Christopher Payne and spouse Olivia Legarda; granddaughters Gracie Frese, Lacie Frese, Lorren Frese, Alexandria Meek and Brooke Meek; sisters Betty Lurudal, Barbra Mayfield; brothers Norman Johnson and wife Michele Johnson, Bill Johnson and wife Mary Johnson.
Beverly was known for the love she had for her family and the smiled she shared so often. She is dearly loved and will forever be missed.
Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. John 14:1-3

Reid and Family. I am so very sorry to learn of Beverly's passing. She was such a Great Lady. It was an honor and joy to care for her at the Drs. office. I will miss her laugh and sense of humor. You remain in my thoughts and prayers. Monica Blaschke

My memory of Grandma Payne was that she always was ready to cheer the boys that were on the "Dog Men" baseball team. She was a joy to talk to and always had a big smile for everyone she met. Matty and I are going to greatly miss her. She is now cheering in Heaven with that beautiful smile. My condolences to JR and family for your loss. My prayers are with you during this time. Ida
