Claudia Chapman Obituary
Our beloved
Claudia Ann Chapman left us too soon at the age of 62, to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 21, 2018. She left behind a beloved son, Christopher Chapman, wife Andrea, and her pride and joy, grandchildren, Lucas and Bella. Her broken hearted mother, Delia T. Sims of Albuquerque; sister, Stephanie Martin and husband Gary Martin (Post Falls, ID) and their two sons, Dominic Martin, and wife Ericka and their two children, DJ and Lincoln (Alamogordo, NM), Erik Martin and wife, Bridget (Catholic Missionaries with Family Missions CO in Louisiana) their children, Theresa, Magdalena, Joseph, John David; brother Paul Lopez (ABQ), son Brandon, wife Shannon and their two children; brother Chris Lopez, wife Marteen (Boulder City, NV) and their two children, Nicholas and Matthew; ex-husband, David Chapman, wife Julieanne and many friends. Claudia was born on February 18, 1956 in Springer, NM, moved to Bernalillo, NM in July 1957, and then moved to Albuquerque in spring of 1958. Claudia attended school at Hodgin and Queen of Heaven. She graduated from Del Norte High School in 1976. Claudia worked for Presbyterian for 21 years as a claims specialist and was retiring in June of this year. Claudia loved to travel and has seen many places like China, Peru, London, and St. Thomas and was planning to see Ireland in August. Claudia loved her grandchildren and spent a lot of time with them. Claudia enjoyed life; she loved her friends and was always there for them. She loved her family. She will be extremely missed. A Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH â€" Wyoming with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Risen Savior Catholic Community 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE 87019. Pallbearers will be Paul Lopez, Chris Lopez, Lucas Chapman, Dom Marin, David Chapman and Nickloas Lopez. Honorary Pallbearers are Eric Martin, Matthew Martin, Stacey Wright and Peggy Tafoya. My yearly visits to NM always include a reunion with family and childhood friends, One being Claudia's Mom, Delia Sims. We go back many years. It was then I met Claudia. I saw her to be a devoted daughter, sister, mom, and grandmother. I treasure the times we spent together and our phone calls after I returned to CA. I know that God loves my friend. Delia, and all her family, and HE will continue to strengthen them in this time of sorrow. You will be truly missed, Claudia. May your soul REST in Peace. You are now with your little brother, Eric. You have gone to prepare a place for all your loved ones.

Claudia was a beautiful lady inside and out. I was blessed and honored to have known here. No doubt where her soul is but with the Lord in Heaven. My prayers to all her friends and family.
